2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara Prestige V6 Review

The 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara Prestige V6 first impressions are that it’s a great mid size 4wd for the price.  We are now at just under 1000klms and the car is using 1 liter per 8 klms and we expect it will improve as the engine frees up a little. Build quaility overall  is very good although a crack has appeared in one of the tail light lenses allowing moisture to enter. We spoke with our local Suzuki dealer today and expect that this will be replaced under warranty. The V6 is zippy and pretty well matched to the 5 speed auto, considering this is a “real” 4wd the car has ample performance and after driving the 4 cyl version with the 4 speed auto the decision to take the V6 was an easy one.  Compared to the other cars in this price range the Suzuki stacks up very well, a very good car at a very good price. Dealers are looking to sell cars in this market so a sub $40,000 deal is a good place to start!
